Our Global Outreach Department exists to help Bethlehem participate in the Great Commission, with the goal of seeing all tribes, tongues, peoples, and nations delight in Jesus Christ. We aim to nurture and train zealous goers and zealous senders through the following ministries:
The Nurture Program equips men and women for cross-cultural ministry through character development, knowledge of the Scriptures, various missions classes, reading assignments, and participation in the life of the church. To learn more, please contact us. Barnabas Teams are groups of 6–12 people who commit to care for a global partner. The support they provide takes a variety of forms as they strive to help meet a global partner’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. It is a group of people with whom the global partner can be open and honest, allowing them to see his or her needs and to share in successes and defeats. Short-Term Ministry Trips are an excellent opportunity to participate in global outreach and grow as a follower of Christ with a heart for the nations. Each year, Bethlehem sends a variety of short-term trips, many focused on ministering to our global partners. Women in Missions gathers on the second Wednesday of each month during “Wednesdays Together.” We gather to worship, hear from missionary women, and pray for God’s purposes among the nations. See the Events page for more details. Prayer is one of the most important aspects of global outreach. All are welcome to pick up a Global Partner Prayer Calendar at the Welcome Desk and join us for our weekly Prayer for Global Partners.Nurture Program
