Greetings from Camp Shetek!

It’s the final day of Camp Shetek! It's hard to believe camp is almost over. Thankfully, the sun has come out, allowing campers to enjoy their last day outside with friends. Though tired, the joy felt by campers and staff alike testifies to the work God has been doing—including the energy in our games, such as the Quadathlon and Jeopardy. Praise God!

Story Update: The Olympians have mysteriously landed in the middle of Ecuador where they were confronted by Elsa (Frozen), Hamlet, and Kylo Ren, who questioned their efforts and told them to turn back. One of the five Olympians, Lucas (USA), gave into the temptation and left his companions. The other Olympians, however, landed in another teleporter and magically made it back to Minnesota. Currently they are awaiting Pastor Brad Nelson to pick up his phone and tell them the password to pass a guard. Meanwhile, back at camp, the competition is hot between the represented countries. Team Japan is currently in first, with Team Ireland close behind. Team Cambodia is in third, and Team Ecuador is last.

We are so thankful for the way God has answered our prayers and sent his Spirit to move in incredible ways during and after Wednesday night’s session. Pastor Daniel Viezbicke gave a powerful sermon about pressing on toward the prize of Jesus and focused the students’ attention on Jesus and what he has accomplished for us. In response, campers had many good conversations and more than 25 students confessed Christ—amid pouring rain, a physical picture of the outpouring of God’s Spirit. We praise God for these new brothers and sisters in Christ and pray that God would continue to work and that fruit would be produced. We would be so grateful if you would join with us and pray ...

• that students would have a smooth transition back to life at home

On behalf of all of us here at camp, thank you for all your prayers and support! We are excited to return home to you with stories of God’s goodness and grace. Most of all, however, we thank God for his faithfulness and grace that he has shown us this week!
