Hurricane Ida Relief Trips
Hurricane Ida hit land and went through Louisiana at the end of August, causing millions of dollars in damage. Bethlehem is putting together teams to go and be the hands of Jesus by helping and loving those who are trying to clean up and rebuild their homes and lives.
Our first trip is being planned for October 2–13. We hope it will be the first of several trips to establish long-term work in the bayou communities. A second trip is being planned for October 30–November 9. There is a great need for help there right now. See this article from a local Houma Paper. To contribute financially toward our relief efforts, you can give to Bethlehem’s Disaster Relief Donations fund.
Our team will be coordinating efforts through First Baptist Church of Thibodaux, who will assist with room & board and connect us with specific projects through other churches in the communities where we’ll be working.
If you are interested in joining this trip, learn more and fill out your information here. We’ll have a pre-trip meeting on Wednesday, Sept 29, at 7pm at the Downtown Campus (Room 112). If you have questions, please feel free to contact Ron Powell or .
