Hurricane Harvey Relief Trip
Please consider joining this trip with me ...
When: September 24–October 1. We will leave at 7am from Bethlehem’s Downtown Campus and spend Sunday night at a hotel in or around Dallas and drive to Houston the next morning.
Where: We will be partnering with Sagemont Baptist church. They will host us, meaning we will sleep, eat, and shower at the church and get our assignments from the church leadership team.
What: We will be tearing out wet sheetrock, carpet, appliances, and anything else that is water damaged. While doing that we will be the aroma of Christ to all we come in contact with, sharing the love of Jesus in word and deed.
Who: Anyone able to help clean out homes by doing the above. (Those under 18 need parental approval.)
What to bring: Hammers, crowbars, sawzalls, flat-end shovels, brooms, wheelbarrows, tool belt, sheetrock knives, first aid supplies, N95 dust masks, gloves, bedding, pillow, towel, toiletries. (Cots are available.)
What to do: Make sure you have your tetanus shot updated. Fill out application. To receive application, email JoNell Baker.
Cost: $250 to cover hotel rooms, fuel, food, and cleanup supplies.
If interested: Contact Pastor Brad Nelson or JoNell Baker. Or call 612-554-2708.
Note: To give toward Bethlehem’s efforts to assist with relief, donate through Bethlehem to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. The resources will be used to support the church/ministry we work with and to purchase needed supplies while working there.
